Carolyn Kirkpatrick

Carolyn Kirkpatrick, 83, of Gulf Breeze, FL, passed away on February 19, 2023, in the presence of her family.  A long-time resident of Gulf Breeze, Carolyn was born in Huntsville, AL on July 28, 1939, to Chester Craft and Hattie Sue Finley.  She was married for 52 years to Tommie Kirkpatrick, who preceded her in death in 2016.  She is directly survived by her son, Steven Kirkpatrick of Hyattsville, MD, as well as by many close friends and family members who will cherish her memory.

At various times in her life, Carolyn was a full-time homemaker, an optical assistant, a substitute teacher and an antiques mall manager. She was vibrantly involved in many volunteer activities, including ten years at the Gulf Breeze Hospital auxiliary, where she also served as a member of the Auxiliary Board. She was never happier than when involved with church activities as the Gulf Breeze Methodist Church, especially in her church choir subset, the Silver Tones.  She loved and supported the performing arts and was an expert on classic films and musical theater.

A memorial service will be held for her on Tuesday, February 28th at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Gulf Breeze Methodist Church, and an additional service is being planned in Alabama.
