Pickens, the Gulf Breeze Library, and the Pensacola Museum of Art.  Her interest in history led her to work with the Gulf Breeze Historic society and as a docent in the Pensacola Historic District.  Most notably she chaired the Christian Service Commission St. Ann Catholic Church in Gulf Breeze and coordinated the parish’s commitment to Habitat for Humanity. She treasured the artistic life of the Panhandle and was a patron of the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra and Pensacola Opera.
