Terry Schultz

August 18, 1949 — May 30, 2022

Gulf Breeze

Terry Schultz, the man I loved with all my heart and soul, passed away on May 30th.  He fought valiantly for five years against Mesothelioma.  He was my warrior.  His friends are too many to name, but I want all of them to know how much they meant to him.  Terry was a very proud U S Marine.  He fought at TET during the Vietnam War and as a CAP leader in the villages.  I met Terry at the Gulf Breeze Post Office and the first time he saw me he called me Blondie and I’ve been Blondie from that point on!!  We were married 18 years and had a great time traveling, getting married by “Elvis” in Las Vegas, to traveling to Brazil, where he caught a piranha, to traveling the length of Vietnam.  Our last big trip was an Alaskan cruise last year and he had a blast!!  I can never explain how much I will miss him, but knowing he’s in Heaven waiting for me makes it that much easier.  He is survived by me, Debbie (Blondie), our daughter, Margaret (Jeff) Evetts, our granddaughters Willow and Mackenzie Evetts and our great grandson Abel.  He is also survived by his brother, Rick Schultz and his nephews, Conner (CJ) and Scott Schultz.  And by his son, John Fryer, also by his sister-in-law (SIL as he liked to call her) Karen (Pete) Christakos; niece, Kristi Waldrop.  Many thanks go to his many doctors, especially Jamal Joudeh and all his workers, I say thank you for every smile.  Can’t leave out Dr. Conception and Donna Cooper, he wouldn’t have had such a good life without them.  And Terry always wanted on his tombstone, “I had a good time, but I got to go!”  Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 14th from 10:30 – 11:30 AM at Rose Lawn Funeral Home.  A memorial service will follow at 11:30 AM.  Interment to be held at Barrancas National Cemetery at 1:30pm.
