M. Hazel Adams

Mary Hazel English Adams, 88, of Gulf Breeze, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2019.

She was born in China Grove, AL to David Franklin English and Alma Burks English, the second of seven children.  She married John Wesley Adams, Jr. and together they raised two sons.

Hazel had lived in Gulf Breeze since 1994, after retiring from the post office in Deatsville, AL.  She was a member of First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son David Adams (Amy) of Harvest, AL, grandson Zack, brothers Dozier English of Casselberry and Larry English of Gulf Breeze, and sister Merle Brooks (Jim) of Jacksonville, along with many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, her son Chuck Adams, and her sisters Frances Garrett, Dean Muffenbier, and Fay Jordan.

Hazel was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, caregiver and friend to many.

Visitation will be held at Rose Lawn Funeral Home, 2942 Gulf Breeze Parkway, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 with the funeral immediately following at Rose Lawn at 1:00.  Burial will be in Deatsville Cemetery, Elmore County, AL.
