James Belcher, Sr.

James “Reagan” Belcher, Sr., age 87, of Gulf Breeze, was called home October 01, 2021.  He was born November 24, 1933 in Dallas, Texas to the late James Miller and Oda Sallie Belcher.  Reagan became an entrepreneur very early in life.  He had an Ice Cream and Hot Dog Stand, when he was about 12 years old.  He went on to get into the clothing business and was an extremely successful clothing representative in the Southeast.  Reagan taught all of his children the art of sales and they use these skills every day.

He met the love of his life Linda, and they were married for over 56 years.  Reagan went to work with his wife at Gulf Breeze Travel and in their words, “we have had an incredible adventure and a wonderful life.”  He has gone to be with his love and they are on another one of their amazing adventures!

Reagan was always dressed for success and made friends everywhere he went.  He was in love with his wife and cherished his family.  Reagan truly loved spending time with his family and wanted the best for them.  He was a world traveler, adventurer, avid boater, and loved fishing.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Fouraker Belcher; his parents; and his lifelong friend, George Elson.

Those left with fond memories are his children, James Reagan Belcher, Jr. of Pensacola Beach, FL, Brenda Belcher Sexton (Gary), Candace Belcher Vines (Jimmy), both of Gulf Breeze, FL, Scott Bradley Belcher (Stephanie) of Austin, TX; grandchildren, Nicholas (Chloe), Cole, Brittany, Taylor (Madison), Sarah, Seaton, Payton and Paige; great-grandson, Blake; lifelong friend, Minnee Elson; and a host of extended family and close friends.

Visitation will be from 3:00pm until the celebration of life service begins at 4:00pm, on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church, 151 St. Francis Street, Gulf Breeze 32561.
