Carol Bridge

Carol A Bridge, age 80 years old, passed away on September 25, 2021 at her home in Gulf Breeze, Florida surrounded by her family and friends. She was a unique and caring person to all who knew her.

She was born on August 13, 1941 in Providence, Rhode Island to the late Edward and Lillian (Monroe) Blais. She was the oldest of five children, with Peter, Barbra, and Ruth preceding her in death.

Carol married her childhood sweetheart Donald Bridge, on July 21, 1961 and they had two children, Karen and Gary. Carol was a Navy wife for 31 years who raised and educated her children while Don was at sea. She was a volunteer librarian and a Granny to all the neighborhood children and families who served in the Navy. Carol was an opinionated and feisty woman who loved gift giving and giving out popcorn balls every Halloween. An amazing baker, she made an assortment of homemade cookies every Christmas. She never forgot an anniversary, holiday, or birthday.

She loved her family dearly and was active in her children and grandchildren's lives. Carol leaves to cherish her loving memory her brother James, grandchildren Amie, Kira, Brandi, Lindsey, Shelby, Karie, Robby, Amanda, and McKinnzie, 7 great-grandchildren, and many foster neighborhood grandchildren. She was best friends to Tina and Fairy and Nanny to so many.
