Obituary

Andrew-Michael McKenzie Davis, 31

(Sparky Gillan)

March 8, 1988-December 21,2019

Andrew, the most pure, beautiful only son of Julia and Michael Gillan became too tired to fight on. Andrew was a lifelong Southeast Pirate and an honorary member of the Class of 2006.Fate changed everything for Andrew when he was involved in a tragic MVA in 2005. The immense outpouring of love and support spoke volumes of what an amazing beautiful soul he was.  He fought beyond anyone’s belief of possibility. His mother refused to believe Andrew could not persevere. Most recently Andrew resided in Gulf Breeze Florida with his “Pops” Michael and Mother Julia. Andrew found the true Love of a father in his Pops, there was nothing Michael wouldn’t do, give or sacrifice to make his life better or see him smile. He enjoyed sports, fishing and his fur babies, Reigney and Bates. He loved the ocean, sunshine on his face and the sound of a great storm. Most of all beyond question the love of his parents, not a moment went by here in Florida that he hasn’t been front and center in our daily life.

Andrew came into this world like a bull and into a family of Great Aunts and Uncles that adored him , the Original “Little man” his Great Uncle Mike Kight was the first man to ever hold him and I never let him forget how very much they all loved us, Michael(Dodie), Arthur ,Becky(Tim), Cathy(Joey) and Mary-Beth(Ron) aka Uncle Yeah Yeah that did his best to be sure Andrew had wheels, He loved you all. Andrew was named for his Great Grandfather, Uncles and every man that helped me survive my childhood and become good enough to be his mom. Andrew also had a very special Aunt Cathy Blankenship that was always there for us by my side. Andrew was cared for by many that touched our lives beyond mention. His Ohio Nursing family made it possible for him to live the beautiful life he left. JoAnn Bellville (Always his Granny J) Christine Bailey (who never stopped and would take him to London to see the Queen), Lucinda Stiles, Kim Rankin, Maggie Pace and Cindy Telliho, Brayton and Tara Boler. Our lives would never have been as full without you all.

Andrew was preceded in death this year by his Maternal Grandmother, Roberta and survived by His parents Julia and Michael Gillan , his sisters whom he loved very much Nicole and Stephenie(nephews Kamron and Kyle Miles)and his Omi and Opi, Liz and James Gillan. He is survived by his Uncle Michael-Jay Scott his Aunt Kori Thiessen cousins Zack, Alex, Petra, and Eliot. To his many cousins too many to Name We love you…….

Fly high and walk free, do whatever your heart desires my Love, we will celebrate how very proud I am to have been your mother! Until we meet again, I’ll see you everywhere feel you on the breeze, and in the rain on my face, To the moon, the stars, the milky way around mars baby. And all across the deep blue sea because I know that is how much you love me.
