William “Gavin” Davis, born April 18, 2002, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2026, at the age of 23.
Gavin grew up in Gulf Breeze, Florida, attending local schools from preschool through high school and briefly continuing his education in college at PSC. A gifted and curious soul from an early age, Gavin was reading by age two and even read books to his Pre-K 3 classmates. He carried that love of learning, creativity, music, and the arts throughout his life.
He was known for his kind heart, quick wit, natural charisma, and unforgettable sense of humor. Gavin had a special gift for making people laugh with his spot-on impressions and playful personality. He was often told he resembled a young Justin Bieber, a comparison he took in stride with his signature smile.
Gavin was a talented performer and musician. He spent five years as a soloist with the Pensacola Children’s Chorus, touring and performing, and later pursued music and acting opportunities in Los Angeles, where he recorded six songs and two music videos in 2016. His artistic interests also included modeling and playing both piano and trumpet. He had an eclectic taste in music and a deep appreciation for creative expression.
He embraced life with enthusiasm and curiosity. Gavin loved cooking—especially preparing the perfect ribeye steak—and enjoyed exploring new restaurants as a true foodie. He was an excellent chess player, and participated in a wide variety of activities growing up, including karate, horseback riding, swimming, soccer, basketball, hockey and t-ball. He was a proud Star Scout in the Boy Scouts of America.
Gavin loved the outdoors and adventure. He enjoyed camping, fishing, surfing, sailing, and spending time on the water. He also loved waterparks and traveling, sharing six memorable family cruises throughout the Caribbean. He was a devoted fan of local sports teams, including the Wahoos, Ice Flyers, and Saints football. Some of his happiest moments were spent with his cousins, laughing, exploring, and simply being together.
Above all, Gavin cherished his family, who were truly his best friends. He was deeply loved by his mother, Lisa Bruno Davis; his late father, William “Billy” Wayne Davis; and his sister, Gracie Davis. He is also survived by his daughter, Nova, extended family, and many friends who will forever hold him in their hearts. Gavin also adored his beloved pets—Karma, Sookie, Teddy, and Emma.
Gavin had a spiritual nature and a depth that touched those who knew him. His presence, energy, and light will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
A celebration of Gavin’s life will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Rose Lawn Funeral Home in Gulf Breeze, with a butterfly release and a private livestream available for those unable to attend.
