Veronica Berti

February 5, 1930 — March 31, 2021

Gulf Breeze, Florida

Veronica (Ronnie) Theresa Miller Berti, a long-time resident of Gulf Breeze FL, passed away peacefully early morning  March 31st, at age 91.

Ronnie was born and grew up in Belmore NY.  In 1951 she married John Berti; they were married for 62 years before his death in 2014. Ronnie and John moved their family from Long Island NY to Lynchburg VA in 1960. They retired to Gulf Breeze in 1988, which became a base for worldwide travel.

Ronnie was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  A homemaker, she dedicated her life to providing a loving and nurturing home to her family.

Ronnie lived life to the fullest and loved sharing with family and friends.  She was extremely social, volunteered at Gulf Breeze Hospital and served as officer of Gulf Coast Friends.  Her hobbies were many: knitting, cooking, playing cards and bunko with her friends.  She loved all animals, especially dogs.  Her favorite pastime was giving parties for family and friends, cooking all the food and making all the preparations.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gustav and Marie Carson Miller and by her brothers Arthur (Artie) and Richard (Richie).  Ronnie is survived by her brother Tommy Miller (Mary);  three children: Joy-Marie Kaler of Safety Harbor, FL; Nancy Koelpin of New Port Richey, FL (Michael); and Gary Berti of Montrose WV (Barbara); two grandchildren Alison Arthur and Joann Arthur and two greatgrandchildren Olivia and Piper; and two granddogs, Cooper and Hans.

Services will be private at this time. Condolences may be expressed on her memorial page at www.roselawn-fh.com; donations in her memory may be made to Caring and Sharing of Gulf Breeze or St. Jude’s Children’s’ Hospital.
