Thomas Lee Underwood, 64, of Navarre, passed on Friday, August 10, 2018. His wife and brother were at his side.

Tom was modest and unassuming, but he had an interesting career: US Army 8 years, Communication Specialist 5 (Secret Clearance/Eligible Top Secret); Voice-of-the-Base, Ceremonies, Camp Jackson; Armed Services Radio Network, Germany, Turkey; WSM 650 AM. 95.5 FM; Nashville Radio: On Air Talent; Broadcast Live from Opryland Hotel, Wildhorse Saloon & Music Row; Introduced artists, Grand Old Opry; Booked & interviewed "A List" artists; Host/Writer/Producer of 5 nationally syndicated radio programs; Business Analyst, Bridgestone USA Headquarters. In his retirement he enjoyed being Santa!

Tom is survived by his wife Luan Annette, a son Tim Underwood, brother Jim Underwood and sisters Robbie (Dave) Cole and Karen Underwood. Also missing him are daughters Leslie (Myron) Kessler and Beth (Brady) Stewart, sisters-in-law Audrey (Bill) Prynn and Letha (Gary) Clark and brother-in-law Lyndall (Janice) Cuba. Tom leaves nine grandchildren.

Funeral service to be held at Navarre United Methodist Church, 9474 Navarre Parkway on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 with visitation beginning 10:30 AM and service at 11:30 AM. Burial with military honors will take place at Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola at 2:00 PM. Memorials honoring Tom may be made to the Music Department at his church, Navarre United Methodist Church.
