March 7, 1954 - March 27, 2017

Sherry Dale Walsh Escobedo, a beloved member of the Gulf Breeze community, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 27, 2017.

Sherry was born at Langley Air Force Base, Virginia, on March 7, 1954. After graduating with honors from Chandler High School in 1972, she went on to travel the world as a TWA flight attendant. In 2004, she relocated to Gulf Breeze, Florida, with her family.

She is survived by her three children, Shanna Lynn Laborde (Craig Laborde), Christopher Escobedo, and Jamie Diane Huerta (Abel Huerta, III); her grandchildren, Chad, Colin, Alex, Naomi, Juliana, Cade, and Colt; her sister, Terry Lynn Malcolm (James Malcolm); and a myriad of extended family and friends. She is predeceased by her father, Ivan James Walsh, and mother, Daisy Pickron Walsh.

For 12 years, Sherry cheerfully welcomed her dear customers at Ace Hardware, Gulf Breeze. In her free time, you could catch her sittin' on the dock of the bay, not wasting time but, finding her solace. She loved "her" Blue Angels, cultivating flowers and peppers in her garden, relaxing at the beach, and gathering simple yet extraordinarily cool treasures for her well-loved grandchildren.

A Celebration of Sherry's life will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2017 from 2-5 p.m. at Paradise Bar & Grill, 21 Via de Luna, Pensacola Beach, FL. All family and friends are welcome. We will conclude with a prayer on the beach at 5:30 p.m. We encourage everyone to wear blue and white in Sherry's honor.

LET NO ONE WEEP FOR ME, OR CELEBRATE MY FUNERAL WITH MOURNING;
FOR I STILL LIVE, AS I PASS TO AND FRO THROUGH THE MOUTHS OF MEN.
