Sherry Tomlinson

Sherry Tomlinson, age 73, died peacefully in her sleep at her home in Gulf Breeze, FL June 4th.  She was born November 2, 1949 in Corsicana, Tx and was a graduate of Corsicana High School.  Sherry's life centered around her family.  In their younger years, she and husband Ron enjoyed camping, motocross and other outdoor sports including SCUBA diving. Once, she even rode all the way to Alaska from Texas on the back of Ron's motorcycle. 

When she was not managing her daughter’s busy schedule or coaching her cheerleading squad, Sherry pursued her passion for world travel, collecting antique furnishings, gardening, and landscaping design. She designed both of their backyard oases in Texas and Florida. Inspired by Japanese gardens, their Texas home contained a Koi Pond complete with over a dozen fish. 

She and Ron retired in Gulf Breeze, Florida to be near their daughter Dr. Rosamond Sonnen and granddaughter Sienna, now age 8.  She thoroughly enjoyed her years in Florida keeping Sienna several days each week while allowing Rosamond to establish her successful dental practice.

 Sherry was preceded in death by her parents M. Wesley and LaValta Moody Warner and her brother Terry of Corsicana, Texas. She is survived by husband Ron, daughter Dr. Rosamond Sonnen and granddaughter Sienna Sonnen of Gulf Breeze, Florida, brother Wesley Warner of Sherman Oaks, California, sister Pamela Pierce and husband Ricky of Fairfield, Texas and their 4 children. 

A visitation will be held at Rose Lawn Funeral Home from 10-11:00 am on Thursday, June 15, 2023. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 am with Pastor John Kelsoe officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery, Gulf Breeze, Florida.
