Sandra “Sandy” Elizabeth Williams
A Devoted Wife, Mother, Sister, Nana, Aunt, Cousin, and Friend
Sandra Elizabeth “Sandy” Williams, age 71, of Navarre, Florida, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. With hearts full of love and gratitude, we celebrate the life of a remarkable woman whose kindness, joy, and faith touched everyone who knew her.
Sandy was born to James and Eldis (Hart) Pender on August 16, 1954, in Panama City, Florida. From the very beginning, her gentle spirit and loving heart were evident. She grew up surrounded by family, laughter, and faith—qualities that she carried throughout her life.
On July 14, 1973, Sandy married the love of her life, Donald L. Williams. Together, they shared 52½ years of marriage filled with devotion, love, and countless cherished memories. Their partnership was an enduring example of faith, commitment, and joy.
Sandy was the proud mother of three daughters: Jennifer (Kent) Vancil and their four sons, Everett, Caleb, Mason, and Nathan; Christy (Bernie Jr.) Salter and their two daughters, Kloe and Macy; and Cheryl (Alan Jr.) McAlarney and their three children, Annabelle, Alan III, and Victoria. Her greatest pride and joy were her nine grandchildren, who affectionately called her their Nana and cherished her as their best friend.
She was a devoted woman of faith, living her life according to Proverbs 31:28: “Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her.” Sandy’s family truly reflected these words—she inspired love, respect, and admiration through her gentle guidance, unwavering support, and steadfast devotion.
Sandy’s heart was full of laughter and joy. She never met a stranger and had a special gift for making everyone feel seen, loved, and valued. She loved telling stories, making up silly songs and dances, and spending one-on-one time with her daughters and grandchildren—often taking them out for breakfast or lunch to create special memories together.
A fun-loving spirit, Sandy embraced life with spontaneity and adventure. She loved animals, cared for her plants, and found joy in the simple beauties of the world. Though she stood just 4 feet 11 inches tall, her presence filled every room with warmth, love, and laughter. Her family lovingly teased her about her height over the years, reflecting the close, playful bonds she nurtured with those she loved.
Sandy was devoted to her church, volunteering for more than 12 years in the nursery and children’s Sunday School classes. She always demonstrated compassion, kindness, and generosity to those around her. She lived her faith every day, setting a living example of what it means to be a Christian wife, mother, Nana, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, James E. “Jimmy” Pender and Eldis E. “Beth” Pender, and her younger brother, Alfred R. Pender.
She is survived by her loving husband of 52½ years, Donald L. Williams; her three daughters and their families; her younger brother, James S. Pender (Susan); her sister-in-law, Terri Pender; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Sandy’s life was a beautiful example of love in action. Her laughter, faith, joy, and unwavering devotion to her family will continue to inspire all who knew her. Though she is no longer with us, her love remains—woven into the hearts, memories, and lives of those she cherished most.
