Pamela Siegmund

April 21, 1953 — July 3, 2024

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and friend, Pamela Siegmund, nee Pamela Stebbins, who passed away on July 3, 2024. She was a passionate reader who often finished more than one hundred books a year, as well as an accomplished sea sheller who had the knack for finding the best shells even on beaches that would seem to most to be empty.

Originally from Webster, Massachusetts and a 1971 graduate of Bartlett High School, Pamela moved with her young family to Southern California where she enjoyed taking her children to the beach nearly every day of her three-year residence in the Golden State. Later moving to North Georgia, she worked as an elementary school paraprofessional and librarian for many years where she was very popular with students and staff alike, and later as an acrylic nail technician, and an accountant at Chateau Elan Resort in Braselton, Georgia, as well as for her local county government.

Later in life Pamela relocated to the Pensacola, Florida area where she lovingly cared for her two granddaughters, and most recently enjoyed volunteering many hours at Interfaith Ministries Thrift Store in Gulf Breeze, Florida where her artistic talents were prominently on display with her craftily painted furniture that often sold quickly after being placed on the sales floor.

Pamela was preceded in death by her parents, Jennette Houlberg and Roland Stebbins of Webster, Massachusetts; her sister, Susan Stebbins of Cottonwood, Arizona; and a daughter-in-law, Carrie Siegmund of Athens, Georgia; all of whom she loved dearly.

Pamela is survived by her brother, Gary Stebbins; children, Vanessa and Dana; grandchildren, Zoe, Samantha, Elise, and Oliver; son and daughter-in-law, Pascal and Amanda, as well as many happy houseplants, a well-tended garden and her cats, Cookie and Kissa who brought her immense joy.

Pamela’s family and friends are currently planning a small private ceremony to celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers and gifts, please send donations to Interfaith Ministries of Gulf Breeze, Florida: https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/interfaiththrift
