Nancy Curtis

Nancy A. Curtis, age 71, of Gulf Breeze, was called home September 28, 2021.  She was born April 16, 1950 in Baltimore, MD to the late Theodore A. and Betty M. (Gatton) Appel, of Riviera Beach, MD.  Nancy grew up in Riviera Beach, MD and attended Northeast High School.  She moved to Florida around 1978 and settled there.  Nancy spent 30+ years with her husband, William G. Curtis, who after a lengthy illness preceded her in death by just two months.  She enjoyed writing poetry and short stories.  Nancy also enjoyed art, crocheting and was an avid fan of old movies.

She is preceded in death by her husband and parents.  Those left with fond memories are her son, Charles J. Morris of Gulf Breeze, FL; sisters, Patricia Ann Macola (Michael) of Riviera Beach, MD, and Verna Lee Murphy (William) of Middletown, DE; stepchildren, Denise A. Curtis, Lynne H. Crosby (Ken), William G. Curtis, Jr. (Stephanie), Lori K. Mitchell (David), and Jeffrey P. Curtis (Cindy); many nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family and friends.

A committal service will be held at 11:30am, on Thursday, November 04, 2021 at Barrancas National Cemetery, 1 Cemetery Road, Pensacola FL 32508.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Nancy’s memory to the American Cancer Society
