Msgt. Michael J. Mann USAF (Ret.), age 69, of Navarre, was called home suddenly on December 10, 2019. He was born June 12, 1950 in Chicago, IL to the late John and Eleanor Brodkorb Mann. “Mike,” was a proud U.S. Air Force retiree. He enlisted in 1970 and retired in 1991 from his final assignment at Eglin Air Force Base, FL. After which he moved his family to St. Charles, IL and began a second career with the U.S. Postal Service. He served in Carol Stream, IL as an Electrical Technician and retired a second time in 2014, from the main post office in Pensacola, FL. Mike loved the Florida lifestyle and enjoyed local beaches, fishing and most of all golfing. He was a member of the Hurlburt Field Golf Course Gators.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents. Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Patricia Moore Mann; daughter, Kimberly (Brian) Shelton of Orange Park, FL; son, Brian Michael Mann; granddaughters, Addison, Paige, Hayley and Ellie Shelton of Orange Park, FL; sister, Patricia O’Donnell of Bradley, CA; 29 nieces and nephews; numerous grand-nieces and grand-nephews; and a host of golf buddies and friends.
Visitation will begin at 10:00AM, until the Funeral Service Begins at 11:00AM on Monday, December 16, 2019, at Rose Lawn Funeral Home & Cemetery, 2942 Gulf Breeze Parkway, Gulf Breeze, FL 32563. Msgr. Luke Hunt as celebrant. Pallbearers will be Brian Mann, Steve Southwell, Tom Moore, Brian Shelton, Kevin LaCour and Cathy Nelson.
