Jeannette M. Meister

Jeannette McLendon Meister was born on October 31, 1935 in Jacksonville, FL to Homer Boiet and Florence Matthews McLendon. She passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026.

Jeannette was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Chuck Meister and a son, Clay Meister. Survivors include her sons and their spouses; Mark and Karen Meister; Matt and Suzanne Meister; grandchildren, Brian (Natalie) Meister, Adam (Kelley) Meister, Daniel (Katie) Meister, Hannah (Sean) Marchbanks and Lacy (Jarrett) Griffin and 7 great-grandchildren.

Jeannette grew up in Orlando, FL. She attended Florida State University, was a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority and was on the varsity debate team. Jeannette met the love of her life, Chuck Meister, in high school. They were married in 1957 and settled in Orlando, FL until 1975, when they moved to Gulf Breeze, FL.

Jeannette was an active member of Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church, sang in the choir and was a founding member of the Good News Sunday School Class.

A visitation will be held at Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church on Friday, January 9, 2026 from 1-2:00 pm. A memorial service will begin at 2:00 pm on Friday at the church.
