Mary Kastanos

Mary M. “Midge” Kastanos, age 68, of Gulf Breeze passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2016. She was born to Rupert and Ruby Easterling in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Midge is survived by her daughters, Cheryl (Chad) Barringer of Savoy, Illinois and Gwen (Charlie) Diaz of Huntersville, North Carolina, a grandson, Drew Barringer of Savoy, Illinois and a sister, Sharon “Miki” (Mike) Tedesco of Wiesbaden, Germany. She is predeceased by her husband, George Kastanos.
A lifelong educator, Midge spent several years as a teacher for the Department of Defense Dependent Schools in Athens, Greece and Iraklion, Crete. She finished her teaching career at Holley Navarre Intermediate School in Navarre, Florida.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 PM on Monday, May 2, 2016 with a visitation preceding the service at 11:30 AM at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 1720 W. Garden Street, Pensacola, FL. Burial in Barrancas National Cemetery will follow at 2:00 PM.
