Marianne W. Dennis “Pinkie”

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Marianne “Pinkie” Dennis, who departed this life on Friday, January 30, 2026, at the age of 98. Pinkie was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, whose kindness, warmth, and generosity touched the hearts of all who knew her.

Born on January 30, 1928, in Fort Benning, GA, Pinkie lived a life full of love, laughter, and memorable moments. She dedicated her life to her family, always striving to make a difference in the lives of others.

Pinkie married Nathan G. Dennis in the summer of 1946. With Nathan being in the military, they traveled the world and had 4 children along the way. Charles “Nat” Dennis (Carol), Thomas E. Dennis (Virginia), Richard W. Dennis (Karen), and Georgia Dennis Abbott (David). Pinkie and Nathan moved to Pensacola Beach, FL in 1964 and finally put down permanent roots in Gulf Breeze, FL in 1968, where their family continued to grow. In addition to having 4 children, they were blessed with 16 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 6 great, great grandchildren.

Pinkie was preceded in death by her husband, Nathan Dennis; her son Charles “Nat” Dennis; and her son-in-law David.

Pinkie’s memory will carry on in all of her family and all of those who knew her, for her unwavering love, wisdom, and the joy she brought to everyone around her. Her many stories of life and family, to the many who had the privilege of spending time with her family, sharing a meal at their table, and joining them in the many, many family gatherings over the years. Pinkie was greatly loved and we will all miss her very, very much. May she rest in peace.
