Margaret Taylor

Margaret Ellen Taylor, age 91 of Gulf Breeze, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2017.

Margaret was born in King's Mill, Texas and was the daughter of Benjamin Delany Blackburn and Velma Lee Goolsby Blackburn. She lived and worked in Houston, Texas most of her life and graduated from the University of Houston.

Margaret was a high school art teacher, as well as an accomplished artist, who traveled the world with her husband, and captured its' beauty through her art. She moved to Florida in 2008.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Delany Blackburn and Velma Lee Goolsby Blackburn; her husband, Bill P. Taylor, Jr., granddaughters, Jennifer Margaret Jones Newman, and Suzanne Delaney Jones Morales.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Ellen (David) Jones of San Antonio, Texas, her sons, Bill P. (Becky) Taylor, III of Tiki Island, and Mark L (Kelli) Taylor of Gulf Breeze, brother-in-law, Daniel (Susan) Taylor, ten grandchildren, twenty one great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.

A Memorial Visitation will be held at Rose Lawn Funeral home on Monday, December 18, 2017 from 2 to 3:00 PM, with a Memorial Service following at 3:00 PM.
