Marcelaine Taylor

January 20, 1928 — March 5, 2017

Marcelaine "Marcy" Taylor, a long time resident of Holley-Navarre, was born in Savannah, GA in 1928. In 1944 She met and married Allen Taylor in West Palm Beach Florida. They were married for the 64 years. Marcy was a military wife and called numerous places home over the years including West Palm Beach, Travis AFB CA, RAF Shepherd's Grove in England, Myrtle Beach AFB, SC and Ent AFB in Colorado Springs, CO. She raised four children - Lynda, Robin, Mark and David. Marcy was known for her Southerner hospitality and she enjoyed making others laugh. She was a gifted singer and a member of the choir at the Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Colorado Springs for many years. Marcy was deeply devoted to her Christian faith and, along with her husband Allen, was very active in the Hurlburt Field Chapel. Marcy is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four sisters and a brother. She is survived by her sister Thelma Morris, her four children, grandchildren Shawn, Erin, Adam, Jacob, Alexi, Luke and Kelley and several great grandchildren. Service will be at the Rose Lawn Funeral Home chapel at 11:00 on Tuesday, March 14th followed by a family burial at Barrancas National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in Marcy's memory to the Wounded Warriors Foundation or the charity of your choice.
