Kimberly Kay Clark Davenport, a beloved native of Gulf Breeze, Florida, was born in 1960 in Mobile, Alabama, and passed away unexpectedly at her home in Pensacola on July 23, 2026. A proud 1978 graduate of Gulf Breeze High School, Kim loved the Gulf coast more than anything. Swimming, the beach, and pool days with family and friends brought her peace and joy throughout her lifetime.

Kim was baptized in 1971 at the United Methodist Church of Gulf Breeze. She lost both of her parents, Clomer and Sara Clark, at a young age, and their strength stayed with her throughout her lifetime. Kim began working as a teenager and built a long career in food service, pharmaceuticals, and retail. She overcame cancer and reached complete remission in 2020, then retired from Walmart in 2021 after 20 years of employment. She believed in working and did it for over 45 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Ashley Davenport Kelly of Cantonment and her son, Daric Davenport of Pensacola; her grandchildren, Kaila, Bricen, and Calie Kelly; her brother, Jeff Clark(LA); her nephew, Josh Clark; her children’s father and lifelong friend, Robert Davenport; her first cousin, Wendy Bush (Dale), who was like a sister; Wendy’s children, Celeste Kyzar (Jeremy) and Jason Miller (Analuna); and her entire Russell and Davenport Family and close friends that all extend across the Florida Panhandle and Southeast.

Kim was the life of every gathering. Her laughter filled a room, and her love for her family was endless. Kim spent much of the last year of her life with Wendy and her family, where they shared precious time together. It was there that Kim met her beloved white chicken, Dove. Kim enjoyed the peace she found in country living and getting to visit with friends and family. She enjoyed cooking for her family—especially her famous squash casserole and hot apple pie—shopping, and cheering on her grandchildren at their baseball and softball games. She loved animals, too, especially dogs. Kim’s friendships were precious to her, and everyone who knew her felt her warmth.

Kim is now at peace in Heaven with her parents and family. She will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, family, friends, and all who had the joy of knowing her. Please continue to keep her loved ones in your prayers.

A memorial celebration will be announced by her children. The family sincerely thanks everyone for their prayers, calls, messages, and support during this time.
