Kathleen Ocobock

April 28, 1949 — March 17, 2017

Kathleen Ann Ocobock left this world peacefully on March 17, 2017 after a long fight with pancreatic cancer. She was born in Kalamazoo Michigan on April 28,1949 to Margaret (Breid) and Ernest Jay Ocobock. She graduated from Marywood Academy in June 1967 and enlisted in the U.S. Navy. She served honorably for over 20 years and retired in February 1989. Kathy moved to Gulf Breeze Florida and resided there until her passing. She worked at the Santa Rosa Yacht and Boat Club until her retirement in 2014. She was active with the Friends of the Gulf Breeze Library and could be found every Saturday morning at the Gulf Breeze Library book store.
Kathy was preceded in death by her mother and father and her brothers Michael and Matthew. She is survived by her son Jonathan, her sisters Susanne Waylett and Marguerite Meier and her husband Ray, her sister-in-laws Patricia Miller-Ocobock and Victoria Wright , brothers Joseph, John and his wife Janice, and Thomas and his wife Missy, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved her dearly.
There will be a funeral processional departure to Barrancas National Cemetery, from Rose Lawn Funeral Home, Gulf Breeze at 9:45 AM, Monday, April 3, for those who wish to travel in procession, to the service being held there.
Kathy will be laid to rest with honors at Barrancas National Cemetery on April 3 at 10:30 AM.
The family requests donations to the Friends of the Gulf Breeze Library in lieu of flowers.
