Karolyn Kendall

Mrs. Karolyn Kendall, of Gulf Breeze, FL died on Monday, October 10, 2016 at the age of 77. Karolyn was born on July 19, 1939 in Sherwood, Ohio to Charles and DeLean Heyman. On August 28, 1960, Karolyn married James Kendall and the couple had one daughter, Kristi. Karolyn graduated from nurse’s training in 1960 and worked as a Registered Nurse at hospitals and industrial facilities in Lima, OH, Gretna, LA, and Gulf Breeze. She and Jim moved to Gulf Breeze from New Orleans in 1991. For 12 years she worked as a nurse at the Gulf Breeze Hospital. Karolyn thrived when caring for others – whether as a nurse, volunteer, neighbor or friend. She could always be counted on to help. She loved gardening, collecting shells at the beach, cooking and baking and enjoyed opening her home to friends. Karolyn was deeply loved and will be missed by her husband of 56 years, Jim; daughter, Kristi; son- in-law, Rob; grand-daughter, Kate; mother, DeLean; sister, Marilyn; and the many other friends and family, who she touched with her generous heart and indomitable spirit.
