Joy Himes

Joy Brewer Himes, 93, of Gulf Breeze, Florida passed away on Friday, February 16, 2018. in Pensacola Florida.

Born in Ashland, KY to Harry and Etta Brewer and Raised in Lewis County, KY with her brothers Robert, Curtis and twin sisters Jane and Janet.

Joy graduated from University of Kentucky with a degree in education and went on to teach Art in various locations among them Pensacola State College.

Married to Harvey Parker Himes and had 4 children: 2 daughters Sue Jane and Jenny who have passed away, her surviving children are her son Robert C. Himes of Portland TN and daughter Tommy Himes Carbone of Lillian, AL. She had 4 grand children and 5 great grand children.

Visitation will be held at Rose Lawn Funeral Home on Monday February 19, 2018 at 11 AM
