Jon Ray Busby

Jon Ray Busby, 46, of Gulf Breeze, FL passed away Sunday, December 31, 2023 at Gulf Breeze Hospital surrounded by his family and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his father, James (Jim) H. Busby, Sr. Survivors include his mother, Carol Churchill Busby and his brother, James (Jimmy) H. Busby, Jr.

Jon Ray was born in Homewood, AL (Birmingham). He moved with his family to Gulf Breeze, FL at the age of 4. He attended preschool at Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church, Oriole Beach Elementary, Gulf Breeze Middle School and High School graduating in 1996.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Gulf Breeze Hospital and also the staff of Emerald Coast Hospice as he battled stage 4 colon cancer and complications. Thanks also to friends and family for their love, support and prayers during his illness.

A memorial service will be held Friday, January 5, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church in Gulf Breeze, FL. A reception will follow in the Reception Hall immediately following the service.
