Jolene Kay Hilliard, 87, beloved daughter of Marguerie and Joseph Choate, passed away suddenly at Gulf Breeze Hosital on May 9, 2025. She is survived by her daughters, Michelle Burnthall of Decatur, Alabama, and Sharyl Donnadieu of Navarre, Florida; as well as her son-in-law, Joel Williams of Navarre, Florida.
Jolene spent the last three months of her life at Navarre Gardens, where her spirited presence was warmly embraced by both staff and fellow residents. She will be fondly remembered for her warmth, resilience, and the joy she brought to those around her.
She dedicated much of her career to Mutual of Omaha, where she worked as a administrative clerk before retiring. Later, she channeled her passion for cooking into a role at Publix, where her love for food and connection with people shone through. Outside of work, Jolene found great joy in spending time with her beloved puggle, Booboo, who was her loyal companion.
Jolene had an enduring love for the ocean, and in keeping with her wishes, she will be cremated, and her ashes will be spread in the Gulf of America, a place that brought her peace and joy.
Jolene cherished time spent with her four grandchildren, Sam and Brent Burnthall, Daniella and Jared Williams, and her four great-grandchildren (Eva, Banx, Londyn, Devyn). Family was at the heart of her life, and the love she shared with them will remain a lasting legacy.
