John Wilson

January 19, 1970 — October 13, 2018

Our Dear Son, Uncle, Brother, and Friend John D. (J.D.) Wilson passed away unexpectedly on October 13, 2018.

He was born January 19, 1970, to Sandra K. Wilson and Larry Wilson in Noblesville, IN. They later moved to Pensacola, FL. J.D. never married but surrounded himself with many loving friends. He is survived by his parents and his sister Cheri Crenshaw. He is predeceased by his grandfather John A. Repp, his grandmother Doris Rene (Trigg) Repp, his aunts, Jane A. Hiatt of Cicero and Jean Ellen "Putsie" Ferris of Virginia Beach.

J.D. never hid who he was. If he had an opinion, you'd hear about it. If he thought something was funny, he would laugh. If he felt the need to make someone smile, he would do something silly. It would be hard to recognize him without a smile on his face because he was always smiling. J.D. made friends easily and once you were his friend, you were his friend for life. If he wasn't working, he was fishing. He was always on the hunt for the biggest fish, the wildest ride, and the thrill of the open sea. The beach was his home. He never had the desire to leave Pensacola. A big part of his desire to stay in Pensacola was his amazing friends, who adored him. Although he enjoyed living in Florida, he also enjoyed many family vacations. He rode snowmobiles in Colorado, enjoyed a pineapple drink on the beaches of Hawaii, witnessed a meteorological phenomenon called cloud inversion at the Grand Canyon in Arizona, and explored many canyons in Utah. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and anyone who knew him.

A celebration of John D. Wilson's life will be held at noon on November 3, 2018 on Pensacola Beach at the pier.
