Janet Lockwood

Janet Mae Lockwood age 70 of Gulf Breeze, FL passed away quietly after a short and unexpected illness on Monday January 5, 2009. Janet began her life on May 18, 1938 in Sioux City, Iowa, born to Roger and Kathryn Clark. Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Roger and Kathryn Clark, brother, Roger "Tom" Clark, sister, Susan Winters and brother-in-law Ronald Johnson. Janet is survived by husband Theodore, son Steve (Cinda) Lockwood of Tempe, AZ, daughter, Laura (David) Cohen of Auburn, WA, son, Gary (Charlotte) Lockwood of Gulf Breeze, FL, sister, Rosalie (Dale) Hundwardsen, brother, Russell (Jane) Clark, sisters; Kay (Lowell) Thomsen, Mary Johnson, Nancy (David) Nielson, a sister-in-law, Betsy Clark, six grandchildren, step-grandchildren and great step-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Janet had the opportunity to raise her children at home until school age and then began her career with Orono School District where she had worked as a Librarians Aide and an Executive Assistant. After retiring from Orono she moved to Florida to enjoy her remaining years in paradise. The Lockwood family would like to thank everyone in advance for their prayers and wishes during their time of need. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid" A time of visitation will be held Friday, January 9, 2009 from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM with a Memorial Service at 2:00 PM at the Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church.
