Isabel Clutter

May 4, 1922 — January 16, 2018

Isabel Boots Clutter 95, passed away January 16, 2018. She was born in Washington, D.C. to Ethel Mae Doherty and Daniel Henry Doherty. Also dear to her, beloved brother Daniel Manny Doherty. Trained in opera, her voice was enjoyed by many over the years. She thoroughly enjoyed a career as a paralegal and traveling the world, She had a great faith and was always active in her church, singing in the choir, teaching Sunday School and serving as president of the United Methodist Woman. She grew up coming to Pensacola every summer to visit her grandparents. When she retired to Gulf Breeze 45 years ago she dearly loved being a part of Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church where she volunteered in several areas. Boots volunteered at the Butterfly House for over 20 years and belonged to the garden club. She walked for cancer every year. Her bubbly personality was joyful, fun loving and caring to all she met. She said remember the laughter and grow strong by the tears. Her last year was spent at Bay Breeze Senior Living where she brought joy to everyone. Her family would especially like to thank Heidi and Sandy for their faithful visits and friendship. Boots is survived by her two daughters Bonnie Gunter and Shannon Gayle Donahue. Her grandchildren, Paige Robertson (Matt) Jay Gunter, Elise Gunter and Dawn Koegler (Mike). Her great grandchildren, Mae Gunter, Hayes Robertson and Owen Robertson, Samantha Koegler and Alexandra Koegler. In Boots memory you may contribute to The Human Society or her granddaughter Elise's home Holy Angels PO Box 710 Belmont, N.C. 28012 for children and adults with disabilities. Boots Memorial Service will be held at Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church, Gulf Breeze on Friday, January 26, 2018 at 11:00 AM.
