Harry Trachy, Jr.

Harry "War Eagle" Trachy, age 79, of Gulf Breeze passed away comfortably on March 4, 2018.
Born April 24, 1938 in Birmingham, AL, son of Harry Oliver Trachy, Sr. and Lena Thompson Trachy. He grew up in the West End area of Birmingham where he met the love of his life Patricia Ann Patterson in high school. The couple married in their freshman year at Auburn University in 1957. Following graduation as a mechanical engineer, they moved to Arlington, VA for Harry to serve in the Army Corps of Engineers. In 1961 they moved to Gulf Breeze when Harry went to work for American Cyanamid and he later joined Armstrong World Industries until retirement.
Harry's positive attitude, honesty, integrity, spirituality, and immense sense of family and friendship will be forever remembered and deeply missed.
Preceded by Patricia Patterson Trachy, his parents, and two sisters Louise Trachy Spradling and Ann Trachy Howell.
Surviving are his son Randal Trachy and wife Trish Trachy, his daughter Terri Trachy Davidson and husband David Davidson, and grandchildren: Allison Trachy Hill and husband Sam Hill, Jarrod Vaughn, Michael Davidson and wife Brooke Davidson, Robyn Davidson Crowson and husband Collin Crowson.
The visitation will be Friday, March 9th at 2:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 3:00 PM and reception at the Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church, 75 Fairpoint Drive.
