Garland Pugh, Jr.

Garland Bland Pugh, went to be with the Lord Sunday morning, May 31, 2015. Bland was born in Birmingham Al. He later joined the Air Force and was stationed in Great Falls Montana, after the service he moved to Macon Ga. where he began his career in the automobile business. After a brief move back to Birmingham, Bland and his family moved to Gulf Breeze. Whenever he got a chance he loved to go fishing at the beach and always fished the Billfish Tournament. Bland was very active in the Elks and served as Exalted Ruler from 1988-1989 at the Pensacola Beach Lodge. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Carolyn, sister Betsy Cloud (Robert), brothers Jenks and Ross (Catherine), sons Mickey (Sally), Bo (Teri ), David (Shannon) and daughter Hope Pugh Austin (Brady), grandchildren Jessica, Lee (Alaina), Austin (Katie), Alexis, Megan, Mackenzie and Matthew and great-grandchildren Brice, Parker and Jackson Pugh. Interment will be at Barrancas National Cemetery June 2 at 1:15. In lieu of flowers Bland's wishes were that donations be made to the Santa Rosa County Animal Shelter.
