Clara N. Gray

Clara Neele Gray, born April 22, 1935, to Lee Roy and Myrtle Price, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2025.

Clara grew up in Dublin, GA. She met the love of her life, Charles, at Middle Georgia College. They were married in 1955. They moved around for Charles' coaching jobs and made their final move to Gulf Breeze in 1975. Clara was employed by MWR Accounting. She was a member of the Gulf Breeze Hospital Auxiliary for 25+ years and an active member of the Gulf Breeze Optimist Club. In her spare time, she made beautiful quilts.

Clara was preceded in death by her husband Charles and son Skip. Clara is survived by her children and their spouses, Karen and Mark Meister; Robert and Kim Gray. Grandsons and their spouses, Brian and Natalie Meister; Adam and Kelley Meister; Daniel and Katie Meister; Lee and Sara Gray; Jae and Malorie Gray; Neele Gray; Krystianna Lewis; and 18 great grandchildren. 

The family requests in lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Gulf Breeze Optimist Club Charles Gray Scholarship Fund; PO Box 687, Gulf Breeze, FL 32562-0687. 

Services will be held at Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church, 75 Fairpoint Drive, Gulf Breeze, FL on Friday, August 8, 2025. Visitation starts at 10:30, with services starting at 11 CST. There will be a reception immediately after services at the church. Rose Lawn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
