Christopher Smock

Christopher Harold "Chris" Smock, 44, died Monday, September 15, 2008. Born February 16, 1964 in Frankfort, IN, he was the son of Margaret Smock Bigham of Gulf Breeze, FL and Harold Smock of Wilmington, NC. Chris was general manager of Bigham Cable Construction. He was a member of Cross Roads Community Church, Simpsonville and was active in the Prayer Ministry. His first love was his family, followed by hunting and fishing. Surviving in addition to his parents is his wife, Teri Groce Smock; a daughter and four sons: Callie Smock, Ricky Atkinson, Christopher Smock, John Jacob Smock and Benji Kai Smock all of the home; a brother Jeff Smock of Bozeman, MT, one step-sister and two step-brothers. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Interim Hospice of SC for their love and support. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cross Roads Community Church, 416 Holland Road, Simpsonville, SC 29681. A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday, October 4, 2008 from 4:00PM to 5:00PM at Rose Lawn Funeral Home. (Casual dress please) A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 5:00 PM.
