Casimir Paw

Casimir J. Paw (aka Casey Paw), 85, of Gulf Breeze, FL died on December 13, 2025. He was born September 01, 1940, in Chicago, IL.

Casey Paw was a graduate of Chicago Vocational School and because of the pattern making and casting program, opened R&C Pattern in South Holland, IL where he ran a successful business, opening its doors in 1969. Casey was always known as one who would lend a hand to anyone in need, employed dozens of young people who hadn’t any direction in life but after years of his mentorship, became successful adults. A member of Salmon Unlimited, Casey spent many weekends fishing on his cherished Lake Michigan and made friends wherever he went. His mantra was, “there are no strangers, only friends you haven’t met,” his eccentric and eclectic friends group included high school chums and some of his favorite friends down on Soundside Drive. Always ready to greet anyone who walked through the door with a “shot and a beer,” he regaled his friends with stories of his treasured times in Chicago growing up in Roseland and always ended with a Polish salute of “Nostrovia.” His pride and joy were his grandkids whom he taught to catch crabs off the pier, drive the golf cart, and master the art of fourteen hands and other card games.

Casey is survived by his best friend and wife, Shirl (nee Stone); his adoring sister-in-law, Lorna; his sisters, Agnes (Jim) and Virgina; his children, Kevin (Judi Ann), Kacey Jo (Jim) and Ken Houston, along with his grandchildren Alissa, Sydney, Halie, Jackie, Rachel and Mackenzie, great grandchild, Jace, and dozens of nieces and nephews.

Casey lived his everyday life to the fullest and always had a smile on his face. He’ll be remembered for his larger-than-life personality, his love of his friends and family, and the fact that he left this world overlooking Santa Rosa Sound where he found his greatest peace.
