Carolyn Lyon

Carolyn Anne Lyon, 74, of Gulf Breeze, Florida, passed away comfortably on July 28, 2009 at Covenant Hospice in Pensacola. She is survived by her devoted husband of 53 years, Richard F. Lyon, two daughters, Caren L. Jordan of Gulf Breeze, Catharine L. Lyon of Colorado Springs, seven grandchildren, and numerous friends. Carol was a dedicated Air Force wife for 25 years. She enjoyed accompanying her husband to various duty stations both within the country and abroad. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and daughter. She will be missed by all who knew her. She will always be remembered for her kindness, generosity and her smile. Arrangements are being handled by Rose Lawn Funeral Home. A memorial service to celebrate Carol's life will be held on Friday July 31st, 2:00pm at St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church in Gulf Breeze with Father Robert Graves officiating. A reception will follow the service in the Parish Hall. Internment will be at a later date at Barrancas National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Covenant Hospice or to St Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church
