The family of Carol Jean Simmons mourns her passing on May 2, 2023, at the age of 79. Carol was born in Belleville, Illinois, on July 17, 1943, to Jacob Nicholas Bingheim and Marie Agnes Recker.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers (John B., Thomas (infant), Walter Ralph); four sisters (Patricia Ann Henderson, Ruth Ann L. Streif, Mary (infant), Bonnie Kay Tucker, Agnes M. (infant)); and her loving husband Kenneth Murl Simmons, whom she married in 1962.
She is survived by her brother Rickey Charles Bingheim (spouse Deborah), two children, Kenneth Murl Simmons, Jr. (spouse Tonya Lynn) and Ronald James Simmons (spouse Carol Ann), and four grandchildren (Niomi Tai Clifton, Brandon Simmons, Jamie Lynn Willis, Autumn Annette Simmons), and five great-grandchildren.
Carol worked as a Homemaker throughout her life, dedicating herself to the comfort and care of her family. She was an avid crafter, bowler, and gardener.
The family is deeply saddened by her sudden passing due to respiratory complications from pneumonia. Carol will forever be remembered for her kind and gentle spirit, her unwavering devotion to her family, and her infectious laughter.
May she rest in eternal peace.
