Betty Spikes, Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother

Born in February 2, 1933 to a long-farming family, Betty lived a long life, passing away at the age of 90 on Sunday, August 13, 2023 . She liked to garden, gamble, cook, and drink- though not necessarily in that order. She was the life of the party and was never happier than when her hands were busy in the kitchen or digging in the garden. Her family feels that her cooking skills were legendary- and nothing compares to food grown in your own yard. She always pulled more than her share of the load because she never wanted to be a burden to anyone, even in her final days. She was a fantastic neighbor and will be greatly missed.

Betty was preceded in death by her husbands Tom and Aaron, her daughter Janet, and her brother Jerry. She is survived by her son Ralph, her son-in-law Ken, her grandchildren Christa (Corey) Berk, Jana (James) McGowan, and 7 great-grandchildren (in age order)- Gage, Kelsey, Carson, Catherine, Caylin, Avery, and Addison. She has a surviving sister-in-law Janice, and multiple nieces and nephews.
