Betty Bathie Kennedy
January 14, 1926 - October 8, 2017

I was given the gift of life, and now I have to give it back. This is hard. But I was a fortunate woman, who led a blessed existence, and for this I am so grateful. I was diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer in August of 2016. I decided to be joyful about having had a full life, rather than sad about having to die. Amazingly, this outlook worked for me as I spent the last year enjoying family, friends, concerts, walks on the world's most beautiful beach, and cruises. At any rate, I had an amazing life and I am at peace.

I leave behind my beloved Charlie, and my children, Susan, Judy and Jim. My sons-in-law, Mike and Dan, my daughter-in-law Kimber, my grandchildren, Aaron, Emily, Brittany and Jarren; my great-grandchildren, Gabby, Will, Hazel and Susanna; and all my dear friends. How precious you all have been to me. Knowing and loving each one of you was the success story of my life. Until we meet again, joyfully, on the other side.

A visitation will be held at Rose Lawn Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 from 10:30 to 11:00 AM, followed by the service there at 11:00 AM.

A reception follows at St. Ann's Catholic Parrish, Gulf Breeze.
