Muriel Smarge

Our beautiful Mom, Muriel Hooks Smarge (99), was called home to Heaven on Tuesday, August 29, 2023.

Born and raised in Whiteville, NC, later living in Silver Spring, MD and then Lighthouse Point, Palm Coast and Gulf Breeze, FL.  She was a loving wife to her late husband John and a devoted mother to her children Jacquie, Jim and Jan.

She was preceded in death by her brother Wingate Hooks and sisters Jeri Sellers Outz, Nell Bass and Imogene Andrews.

She is also survived by her 3 grandchildren Allison, Janice and Jackie, 3 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A private service will be held. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to your favorite animal rescue in her memory.
