Anthony Gallo

November 28, 1915 — April 24, 2015

Anthony J. "Tony" Gallo, age 99, of Gulf Breeze, passed away on April 24th, 2015. Born in Staten Island, New York, Tony spent most of his working years as a butcher in New York and Pennsylvania. Tony is a veteran of World War II, having served in the U. S. Army from June 1943 until July 1946 where he earned the American Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Barbara Welsch Gallo; his daughter Gale Ulmer of Coral Springs, FL: son Richard Gallo of Clearwater, FL; and step-sons Steve Williams of Kunkletown PA, and Robert Williams of Germansville PA. He was preceded in death by his parents Anthony Gallo and Caroline Nola Gallo. He was a member of St. Sylvester Catholic Church and a Third Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus Council #13277. A funeral mass will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, May 1, 2015 at St. Sylvester Catholic Church in Gulf Breeze with Father John Kelly officiating. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the funeral mass. Burial will follow in Barrancas National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to charity of your choice.
