Anne Elizabeth Scheller Flynn, age 63, of Navarre, FL passed away on July 6, 2026 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Anne was born on February 28, 1963 and happily welcomed into the arms of her parents, Tom and Margaret Scheller. She was raised in New Brighton, MN along with her brothers Tom and Dan. She graduated from St. Anthony High School in 1981, then attended the College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph, MN completing a degree in Interior Design/Business.
Anne was a gifted and highly respected teacher for twenty years at St. Charles Borromeo Elementary School in St. Anthony, MN. She worked tirelessly to help each of her beloved students with their studies, Sacrament preparation, and to inspire in them a great love for their Catholic faith. She and her beloved husband prayed every day for their children, grandchildren, and so many more in need of prayers.
Anne and Mike moved to Florida in 2022 and quickly established a parish family with many wonderful friends at St. Sylvester’s Catholic Church in Gulf Breeze. She continued to share her faith by teaching with the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults, volunteering with the Legion of Mary, the Nocturnal Adoration Society, the St Sylvesters Golden Girls, and assisting parents with their children's baptisms.
Anne was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Margaret Scheller and niece/goddaughter, Grace Scheller. Survivors include her husband, Mike Flynn; sons, Alex (Molly) Golubowicz and Max (Julie) Golubowicz; brothers, Tom (Lorrie) Scheller and Dan (Amy) Scheller; stepdaughters, Colleen (Michael) Malone and Catherine Timo; grandchildren, Stella and Miko; step-grandchildren Brynleigh, Brooke, Riley, Zoey, Logan, William and Emery; niece, Casey (Zach Weiss) Scheller, and nephews, Luke and Thomas Scheller.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at St. Sylvester Catholic Church in Gulf Breeze, FL. Interment services will be held at 2:00 pm at Barrancas National Cemetery, NAS Pensacola, FL.
