Shirley Ann Bellew-Sims, age 77 of Navarre, Florida, went to her heavenly home on January 18, 2019, after an extended illness with CHF. Shirley has an amazing relationship with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ that kept her faith strong and gave her peace during her battle with heart disease.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Oscar and Vester Bellew; her siblings, Patsy, Peggy and Judie; her husband, Claude Jr. Sims Sr. of 61 years; her daughters, Cheryl and Melissa Sims; and her great-grandson, Jeremiah Sims.

She is survived by her sons, Sidney Sims and wife Ann, Jay Sims and wife Guy, Joel Sims and wife Susan; her daughter, Michelle Sims-Jackson and husband Scot; her siblings, Mary Bellew Stanfield, Nancy Bellew Smith, Louise Bellew Propes, Ronald Bellew, and Earl Bellew; her grandchildren, Wendy Mills, Patrick Sims, Melanie Sims, Nathan (Scott) Sims, Josh Sims, Andrew (Drew) Jackson, Ivy Fields, Cody Cotten, Christopher Sims, Kevin Sims, Becka Simmons, Joseph Sims, Melissa Sims; great-grandchildren, Zoi, Jewlie, Kaiden, Broden, Aiden, Bentley, Madalynn, Kytaya, Caleb, Logan, Olivia, Michael, Sarah, Rebecca, Johnny, Levi, Lucas, Tristian, Peyton, Brooklynn, Liam, Ezrah, Isaiah, Luke and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.

Shirley attended Mary Esther Church of God for many years and served alongside her husband in the ministry.

She was a loving mother and a steadfast sister in Christ. Her belief in Jesus Christ's soon coming was evident in the words she spoke and in the life she lived. Her faithfulness and devotion shined bright, and she was a true witness for Jesus Christ to her family and all that she knew.

Shirley Bellew Sims will be missed here on earth, but she was welcomed home by Jesus Christ and her beloved husband Claude, whom she missed dearly.

My heart goes out to all of my nieces and nephews. My sister was a wonderful God fearing Christian! I have wonder memories of our growing up life. We came from a great lovable family. Shirley instilled that love to her children. Always putting God first. When she left Gadsden, Alabama to fly to Hawaii to be with Claude the love of her life it hurt our family to know that she would be gone for a while. Shirley is walking hand in hand with Claude on those streets of gold. I couldn't make the trip to the funeral from being bad sick but my heart goes out to each one of Shirley's children! Know that I dearly love everyone of you. My prayers are with you through this trying time. I will sure miss her and her beautiful smile! Your Aunt Mary
