Mary Nell Mixon Kersh, born on July 5, 1931, went to her heavenly home on Friday, April 5, 2019, at the age of 87.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Clinton Kersh; her father and mother O.A. and Velma Mixon; 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

She is survived by her son, Larry Kersh; her daughter and son-in-law Lissa Kersh Bardin and Edward Bardin; 6 grandchildren: Kelleigh Kersh Byington, Randy Kersh, Karen Kersh Riffenburg, Joshua Kersh, Jeremy Bardin and Alison Bardin Spencer; 3 great-grandchildren: Shelby Riffenburg, Bethany Riffenburg and Carter Kersh; 1 brother and 3 sisters.

Mary was a long-standing member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church and lived in Molino, Florida for 40 years. She was born in Philadelphia, Mississippi and was raised primarily in the community of Roundaway, Mississippi.

In addition to being a loving, caring wife, mother and “granny”, Mary worked many years as a beautician, owning her own beauty shop. Her hobbies were gardening – which she dearly loved – and traveling. She loved spending time with her family both near and far.

After a 7-year battle with Dementia/Alzheimers – with the last 3 ½ months being a resident at Century Care and Rehab Center, she passed away peacefully in her sleep.

Mary – momma & granny – will be greatly missed, but is now rejoicing in her heavenly home reunited with her loving husband, many family members and friends.

There will be a time of visitation on Friday, April 12, 2019 from 10 AM to 11:00 AM at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Molino, FL with the funeral service to follow there at 11:00 AM.
