Frances T Fromularo
May 7, 1920  -  April 23, 2017

Frances Fromularo of Gulf Breeze FL passed away on April 23, 2017. She was born in New York City on May 7, 1920 to Vincent F. Albano and his wife the former Maryann (''Mae'') Sullivan. Frances was the fourth of 8 children, and the only girl. Growing up in Hell's Kitchen with 7 brothers quickly toughened her, as she was subjected to both the famously rough neighborhood plus her brothers' endless pranks. One of the most legendary involved her reaching up in the dark to pull a light cord, only to find a dead mouse tied to the end. Though she forgave them for the mouse, in later years she sometimes feuded with her brothers. Nonetheless, it was clear that the 7 of them, plus ''Mama'' and ''Papa,'' were never far from her thoughts.

In 1940, she married Johnny Corrigan, her childhood sweetheart, and in 1943 their son John Joseph was born. Sadly, John the elder died of heart disease in 1949. The following year Frances married Paul Farragher. They separated in 1959, and in 1966 she married Dominick Fromularo, a WWII veteran to whom she would remain married for almost 49 years until his death in December 2014.

Frances worked for the New York State Department of Taxation for more than a dozen years, rising to the position of senior tax compliance agent. In her final years with the agency, she worked in an office in Tower One of the World Trade Center.

After retirement, she and Dominick became snowbirds, splitting their time between homes in Ventnor, NJ and Cocoa, FL before settling in Gulf Breeze in 2007. Frances was a lifelong night owl and bookworm who loved to read novels well into the night. She also loved sweets, especially pastry; hot tea with milk and sugar; and the slot machines. She doted on her son and grandchildren.

She is survived by son John Corrigan (Donna), step-daughters Mary King and Joanne Miller (Charles), and step-son John Fromularo; grandchildren Dawn Corrigan (Kelly Walters), Barry Corrigan, Marnie Mazzarello (Matthew), Jeanie Yturaldi (Andrew), James Miller, Elise Fromularo, and Jessie Fromularo; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

A visitation will be held from 11 to 11:30 AM at Rose Lawn Funeral Home of Gulf Breeze with Funeral Services at 11:30 AM on Monday, May 1, 2017. Interment will follow at 1:00 PM in Barrancas National Cemetery, NAS, Pensacola.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Fisher Center for Alzheimer's Research Foundation, https://www.alzinfo.org/donate/donation_form/, are appreciated.
